I love side scrollers -- particularly the DS classic New Super Mario Bros. I was therefore pretty excited when New Super Mario Bros Wii was announced a few months ago.
It's slated for release in November, but if that's too long to wait, here is some newly released footage of the game (my blog template seems to cut off the right edge of the video. Sorry about that! If it's too annoying, check out the video here.)
Simultaneous 4-player multiplayer action through the Mushroom Kingdom -- what could be better?! This looks like it has the potential to be a family gaming classic.
