Fossil Fighters was released for the DS a few days ago. Although there is no review available at Metacritic (yet), the write up for the game certainly sounds fun:
Fossil Fighters invites players to enter a world in which fearsome creatures are hidden as fossils for players to collect, using the unique touch-screen controls of Nintendo DS. Players can clean, collect and battle their discoveries.
Seems like creative use of the touch screen. Plus, according to GameGuru, players use the microphone to blow sand off of the fossils. We have a few games that use the mic in this fashion -- and the kids LOVE IT.
We'll have to get some hands-on experience with this, but it certainly sounds like it'd be a great family title. Kids love dinosaurs and collecting. Grown-ups love battles.
